First-time posters: please review the site's moderation policy

Where can I find examples online of students doing consecutive? And getting feedback from trainers? Preferably interpreting into EN

Having such videos would be very instructive. But I have hardly seen real-life training videos online. Nor do I know many trainers using a camera to make students aware of their facial expressions, body language, tics and such.

ETI used to have its virtual classes online and available but that seems to have been taken down now. That was great (although it was a single film of several hours and finding the same place was never easy). I usually film my students once or twice a year - also very instructive for them! But I'd like to see others and some feedback.

  • SCICtrain features some speaker & interpreter analysis of the text and performance.

  • The Interpreters (1968) shows a bit where we can see students doing consec and their trainers commenting.

  • In Germersheim's mock conferences (Freitagskonferenzen), you could now and then see a student doing some consec, usually the introduction of the guest speaker. But there is no feedback.

Thanks Gaspar. But I'm looking for real students, so the first two don't help. And I've edited my question to be more precise! Because I was looking for into EN and Germersheim's great conference films are into DE of course.

Video speech repository from ETI, with recordings of video conferences with other universities (Prag and Lisbon, if I remember correctly) and feedback given by staff interpreters from SCIC and the European Parliament, among others. I enjoyed this resource a lot and used it as a kind of an orientation tool to see what level of performance is expected at other (better) schools. Unfortunately, the website has gone off-line - hopefully they'll bring it back.

Thanks Joanna, this was the site I knew of but it currently says only... "Our site is currently under maintenance, please come back again later."

I checked it before posting and was very disappointed myself... and later I read your comment under Gaspar's post. I certainly hope they'll bring the website back, I was planning to use it while working on extending my language combination.

On closer inspection the actual classes are no longer available here either, just a few of the speeches that were given at each class but not interpreting and no feedback :(

Hi I thought I would comment and send this question to the top again because I'm looking again for examples of feedback. The Orcit examples above were not quite what I was looking for because it wasn't real feedback given to the student, but rather the trainer explaining how and why she filled out a feedback grid.
