My MCI colleagues and I are wondering about the benefits of being accredited by a national association of interpreters. We are based in the Americas, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and China and would like to hear people's experiences as certified interpreters at the national level in any country in these regions. What is your country and association? What benefits has the certification brought you? What have been the limitations? What are your thoughts on seeking national accreditation versus international accreditation through AIIC or any other association?

Please feel free to respond in English, Spanish, French, Catalan or Portuguese.

Thank you very much!
