Hi everyone,

I accepted my offer for MACITS today. Is anybody else here going to study at Leeds in September? Drop me a message here or PM me -- maybe we can set up a group on Facebook to get to know each other!

I might, if they have enough students to run my course. Looks like Portuguese is not that popular :)

I just realised there actually is no PM function :) Diana, would be great to have you on the course with us! Did they tell you when they'd let you know? I talked to Monica from admissions and agreed to pass on my e-mail to all successful applicants, so you might get an email from them after the Easter break. In the meantime, you can find me under facebook.com/ felix. brenderwong (delete the two spaces).

Hi,

They said they'd let me know in May. If they don't run it this year, it would be the second year in a row for me with no MA. I was accepted last year in March.

Anyway, the Facebook page is a great idea, see you there :)

Hi I have also accepted my offer to Leeds starting this year in September. Did anyone ever set up a facebook group?

Absolutely. If you add me on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/felix.brenderwong) I am happy to add you to the group (I can't add you to the group unless I know your Facebook account :))

Or alternatively, find "Felix Gilad Che-Chien Brender-Wong", that's me.

Hello,

I am hoping to be there in September - I applied and have my group activities/interview scheduled for next Monday.

I would certainly be grateful for any tips you may have on how best to prepare for the day in Leeds.

Hi Emilia,

From my interview all I can say is don't worry too much there is not really anything I thought I could really have prepared myself for, apart from maybe keeping up to date with the news. Have a good night's sleep and try not to worry too much. By the way where are you from if your A language is Portuguese? Best of luck with your interview. I hope it goes well :) Miriam

Thanks so much for the pointers - fingers crossed then! I'm originally from Brazil but have been living in the UK for several years.

All the best,
