Hi everyone,

As part of a Professional Development module on my MA, I have to pretend I'm preparing for an interpreting assignment. I have chosen to interpret some press conferences at the Cannes Film Festival as their line-up is usually pretty international and multilingual. I have seen and heard interpreters working there doing both consec and sim.

Does anyone know anything more about interpreting at the festival? What are the conditions like for interpreters? Are they up to AIIC standards? Are there are particular agencies or secretariats which manage interpreting there? Any information you can provide me with would be very helpful.
